Palmetto Childproofing Inc was established in 2007 and is owned and operated by Kim and Mike Bost.

Kim is a graduate of the Medical University of South

Carolina with a degree in physical therapy. Her extensive knowledge of motor development in children and her

experience as a mother give her a valuable perspective on babyproofing homes. Kim's business philosophy is service oriented so you can feel confident that she will work with you to develop the most sensible plan to protect your baby not only at his or her current developmental stage, but also as your child reaches new milestones and abilities.

Mike is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in English. He is a former naval officer, licensed contractor, and teacher who has taught both middle school and high school English. Mike's instinctive understanding of children and deep commitment to their safety make him a natural babyproofer.

Mike has been awarded the Certified Professional Childproofer® designation by the International Association for Child Safety (IAFCS). The Certified Professional Childproofer® designation recognizes those individuals in the childproofing industry who have met the exacting standards set by the IAFCS as to professional education, knowledge, and experience in the field of child safety, ethics, business practices, installation of child safety products, and child safety consulting.
